Celts of New York
Discover a new cultural label on May 18 in DROM, celebrating Celtic heritage and unity through modern music and storytelling. Featuring the world-traveling Breton quintet TROVAN.
The aim of this creation is to embody the poetic power of the texts and music that forge the identity of the Celtic peoples, while at the same time making them vibrate to the very special energy embodied by New York City.
For 2025, the creation brings together musicians and singers from diverse cultural backgrounds, with the ambition of exploring new and adventurous musical routes, reflecting the unknown represented by exile to the Americas, and confronting the traditions of each with the artistic abundance of New York.
They will be in residence in New York from 15 to 18 May, with a final concert on the occasion of the Fête de la Bretagne on Sunday Brittany on Sunday 18 at the DROM in Manhattan. In 2025, the collective was made up of 9 artists from Ireland, Brittany and the NY jazz scene
