Fang Reunion: Mommyheads, Johnny Society, Babe the Blue OX
Join indie label Fang Records to see Mommyheads, Johnny Society, and Babe the Blue OX perform their new music! 6:30 PM doors, 7 PM show.
20th-century indie label Fang Records brought together some of NYC’s most fiercely independent bands, 3 of whom reunite tonight to celebrate the birth of new music. Following Kenny Siegal’s Grammy nomination this year, Johnny Society is back out rocking the Empire State. Tonight’s Mommyheads performance will be the release party for their brand new CD, Genius Killer. As Babe the blue OX enters its fourth decade, the energy and inventiveness continue to astound even them. Their A-Z collection available on Bandcamp covers 1992-2012, and they plan to record new material this fall with sonic guru Kenny Siegal. Not a nostalgic reunion, this triple-bill is about intrepid new music being made right now. It’s gonna be a helluva party, join us!
