Sacred Noise: Yemen Blues & Gili Yalo
Join us at DROM NYC on June 8 for a powerful double bill featuring the transcendent global grooves of Yemen Blues and the electrifying fusion of Gili Yalo. A night of soulful rhythm, ancient roots, and unstoppable energy.
Yemen Blues
a visceral fusion of Afro-funk, Middle Eastern grooves, and bluesy soul, led by charismatic vocalist and creator Ravid Kahalani. Channeling the ancient melodies of Yemenite Jewish tradition through a bold and electrifying global sound, Yemen Blues is both deeply rooted and wildly unbound. Their live performances are legendary—raw, passionate, and rhythmically unstoppable, bridging continents and centuries in a single, unforgettable moment.

Gili Yalo
a vibrant tapestry of vintage soul, Ethiopian funk, and contemporary groove. Drawing on his Ethiopian heritage and Tel Aviv upbringing, Yalo crafts a sound that’s both nostalgic and cutting-edge. With powerful vocals and danceable rhythms, his songs tell stories of migration, identity, and joy—celebrating culture while defying musical borders. Gili Yalo is not just a voice; he’s a movement.
